LAS VEGAS – Anderson dos Santos beat Martin Day with a first-round submission Saturday to close out the preliminary card at UFC on ESPN 18 in Las Vegas.
Take a look inside the fight with dos Santos, who was jubilant after his first win in the UFC.
Dos Santos on the fight’s key moment
“I’m a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt and he took me down, but he left his neck and body, and I saw I had a guillotine. I got a guillotine and subbed him.”
Dos Santos on getting his first win in the UFC
“I feel very good. It’s my first victory in the UFC. I’m so happy. … It was a normal fight. I train every day — wrestling, muay Thai, boxing and jiu-jitsu. It was a good fight against a good guy, but I was better tonight.”
Dos Santos on what he wants next
“I want to fight again very soon. … I’m ready for everything and any time the UFC calls.”
