Fresh off a disappointing comeback loss, Alistair Overeem bounce back with a come-from-behind win of his own.

Overeem (46-18 MMA, 11-7 UFC) faced Walt Harris in the main event of UFC on ESPN 8 in May, looking to rebound from his last-gasp stoppage loss to Jairzinho Rozenstruik last December.

Overeem faced some early adversity from the explosive Harris when he was clipped with a three-piece combination against the fence. Harris poured on the pressure and rained down some heavy ground and pound, but somehow Overeem managed to scramble and survive the onslaught.

Overeem capitalized on a Harris slip as he dragged him down to the mat and controlled him for the rest of Round 1. It sapped Harris’ gas tank, and in the second round Overeem took advantage when he connected with a head kick that badly rocked “The Big Ticket.” Overeem swarmed him, and unloaded a barrage of big shots from the back mount position until the referee stopped the fight.

Overeem returns Saturday in his third straight main event when he faces in-form Brazilian Augusto Sakai at UFC on ESPN+ 34, which takes place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

Before he faces Sakai (15-1-1 MMA, 4-0 UFC), relive Overeem’s finish of Harris in the video above.
