The event takes place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas and streams on ESPN+.
In the main event, former heavyweight title challenger Alistair Overeem (47-18 MMA, 12-7 UFC) meets ex-Bellator champion Alexander Volkov (32-8 MMA, 6-2 UFC). In the co-feature, former lightweight champ Frankie Edgar (24-8-1 MMA, 18-8-1 UFC) takes on Cory Sandhagen (13-2 MMA, 6-1 UFC) at bantamweight.

Ode Osbourne vs. Jerome Rivera
Round 1 – After a brief feeling out process, Osborne steps in with a big left hand that immediate drops Rivera. He’s hurt bad, and Osbourne pounces on him with some ground shots, forcing the referee to stop the fight less than 30 seconds after it began.

Martin Day vs. Timur Valiev
Round 1 – Day takes the center and drops his hands low. Valiev with an early low kick then blocks a high return from his opponent. Valiev goes to the lead leg again as he circles. Day the longer fighter, but Valiev getting in and out of range well and chopping at the leg. Big punches traded up top. Valiev drops down for a single and then slips to the back as Day hops to the cage. Valiev had one leg laced around, but the fence is preventing the full back take. He wraps the body and slams Day, who pops immediately back to his feet. Valiev maintaining the bodylock, and he slams the fight down again, but Day pops immediately to his feet. Valiev has the leg grapevined, and Day tries valiantly for a switch, but he’s pushed back to the canvas. Day now on his back working butterfly guard. Valiev grinding away from the top and landing a few short forearms and elbows. He postures briefly at the end and finishes the round on his feet, and MMA Junkie gives it to Valiev, 10-9.
Round 2 – Valiev again opens with the snapping low kicks. Overhand right misses, but a stiff jab scores for Valiev, and he changes levels again. This time, Day can’t get to the fence, and he’s quickly on his back. Day working half-guard. He’s trying to work to full, but Valiev battles and jumps out to side control. Day wants to turn to his knees, but Valiev grabs the neck and forces him to settle back to the floor. Full guard halfway through the round. Valiev landing a few big punches to the body and then sneaking up to the head. Day active from his back but just can’t create space. Valiev just absolutely smothering him right now. Valiev not scoring concussive blows, but he is staying plenty busy and punching when he can. Valiev tries to jump to mount in the closing seconds. Day reacts well and rolls, but Valiev first tries to grab the neck and then transitions into a triangle. He won’t have time to get the squeeze, but MMA Junkie sees it as a dominant round, 10-8 for Valiev.
Round 3 – Valiev looking to keep the pace high in the third. He strikes a bit, including a nice question-mark kick, before changing levels and again scoring the takedown. Valiev keeps the pressure high, and Day is doing his best to tie things up underneath and recover. Eventually he turns to his knees, but Valiev simply wraps in the bodylock and controls from there. Day crawls to his feet and tries to sit out for an escape, but Valiev maintains control of the body. Day able to turn inside and face his opponent, but Valiev drags him away from the cage and to the canvas. Day doing everything right in terms of what to do to get free, but Valiev is just reacting perfectly to every effort. He gets Day to the canvas again with a little more than a minute left. Day looks tired and frustrated, understandably so. Valiev able to slip out to side control and drive in a few punches. Knee on bell briefly. Day has no quit, and he rolls to his knees and then stands and again tries to sit out, but he just never gets free. MMA Junkie gives it to Valiev, 10-9, awarding him the fight 30-26.

Seungwoo Choi vs. Youssef Zalal
Round 1 – Choi in the center to start. Both men moving well and looking to create angles. Kicks traded, but Choi adding in right hands behind them. Zalal circling left on the outside. He’s slipping and rolling well, but Choi is setting the pace early. Zalal does sneak in a nice left hook and then dances away. Choi clearly the aggressor early. Zalal is reacting well, but it’s a dangerous game. Choi lands with a high kick. Zalal OK and lands a stiff jab before changing levels and driving the action to the fence. Choi defends well against the cage, using on overhook to hold his place. Zalal knows he’s stuck and transitions to a double, but it’s not there either. One minute remains. Referee Chris Tognoni decides to bring them back to the center. Choi the aggressor on the restart again, but Zalal does land back. They smile after the exchange. Choi with a nice front kick to the body. He punches into a clinch and scores a late takedown. Round ends, and MMA Junkie gives it to Choi, 10-9.
Round 2 – Choi out quick with punches. He catches a low kick to the groin, but we fight on. Pace remains high. Zalal drives in again for a takedown. Choi digs in the tries to control the neck, but Zalal able to get in deeper on a single. Choi reacts well and continues to defend well against the cage. Tognoni watching close and warning them to stay busy. Eventually, he breaks them up just past the halfway mark. Choi with a high kick and two crisp punches on the restart. Choi continues to be first on the exchanges. He drives in, thinking takedown, and now it’s his turn to control from the outside. He drags Zalal to the canvas but then has to pull away when his opponent threatens the arm. Choi back to his feet, and Zalal follows. Stiff low kick from Choi in the final minute. Zalal throws a front kick but gets pushes to the floor in the final seconds. He pops up back up and has to defend a flying knee at the bell. MMA Junkie gives it again to Choi, 10-9.
Round 3 – Quick pace to start the final round. Zalal trying to make something happen, but Choi is happy to trade. Choi drives into the clinch, but Zalal defends well and switches off. He gets the takedown and very quickly rolls into a guillotine. It looks threatening, but he’s slipping off a little and switches into a triangle. Choi able to drive his way through the choke, and now he enjoys top position, with Zalal in guard. Tense moments there for Choi, but he reacted well. Choi backs to his feet and looks like he wants to move back down but changes his mind while defending upkicks. They reset on the feet with less than two minutes. Zalal quickly changes levels and is in deep on a takedown. Choi scrambling, but Zalal adjusts and does drag the fight to the canvas. Choi immediately back to his feet, and he’s able to defend and turns inside. He’s now controlling the clinch, where they finish. MMA Junkie gives the final round to Zalal, 10-9, but awards the fight to Choi, 29-28.

Molly McCann vs. Lara Procopio
Round 1 – McCann rushes forward and looks to engage. Procopio there to answer with punches. They’re trading right away. McCann catches a kick to the body but can’t do anything with it. Procopio with a knee inside. McCann answers with one of her own. Procopio presses forward and drives into the clinch. McCann defending against the fence, and she’s able to spin off to the outside. Procopio with a slick outside trip, and the action hits the floor. Half-guard for McCann, but Procopio slips out to side control. McCann scrambles to her knees, but Procopio threatens the neck, and McCann has to settle on the canvas again. McCann able to work to guard, but she’s struggling to get free. McCann landing a few strikes here and there but generally looking to hold position. Final seconds, and Procopio wants the armbar, but McCann able to keep herself safe there. Procopio switches to the back, but she runs out of time. MMA Junkie gives the first to Procopio, 10-9.
Round 2 – McCann again out quickly and looking to strike. Low kicks exchanged. McCann trying to strike, but Procopio is answering well and using her length to her advantage. McCann struggling to really get going. They clinch, and it’s Procopio who is able to drive the action to the canvas. McCann deftly turns for the arm, and she’s in a good position. Procopio tries to pull free but has to focus on stacking. SHe’s in trouble. McCann briefly loses the arm but grabs it a second time and continues looking for the extension. Procopio stacks and finally is able to extract her arm. Wow. Patient work there to get free, and now she’s on top. McCann turns to her knees and stands. Procopio controlling the body from the back. McCann turns inside. Grinding work in the clinch. Procopio with another slick outside trip. McCann drives in a few elbows from the back. Procopio postures, and McCann lands an upkick. Procopio settles back down on top to close. MMA Junkie gives the round to McCann, 10-9.
Round 3 – McCann again aggressive to start. They’re in the clinch rather quickly. McCann defending against the cage. She seems to try and jump the neck and gets driven to the canvas. McCann grabs a leg and wants the sweep. She can’t quite switch the position and then finds herself on defense as Procopio attacks the leg. McCann rolls with it and stays safe before trying to stand and get a dominant position. Procopio scrambles with her and keeps McCann from working free before dragging her back to the canvas again. This time Procopio sets up on top. McCann doing her best to turn and roll and escape, but Procopio has her pushed against the cage and isn’t allowing her much room to work. McCann tries to sit out. Procopio keeps control and starts looking for opportunities for a choke. McCann tough as nails and won’t give up, but she winds up with Procopio on her back. MMA Junkie gives the final round to Procopio, 10-9, and awards her the fight 29-28.

Joselyne Edwards vs. Karol Rosa
Round 1 – Edwards with an early low kick, but Rosa wastes no time in changing levels and driving the action to the canvas. She figure-fours the left leg while setting up on top. Edwards doing her best to frame and create space, but Rosa is firm in her top position and controlling well. The left leg remains trapped in Rosa’s control. Rosa peppering the body with punches while remaining in complete control. She postures up and lands a few hammerfists. Edwards desperate to move free, but Rosa moves to mount. Edwards bucks from there and creates an opportunity to slip out the back and reset on the feet. Edwards aggressive once there. She wants to try and capitalize in the final minute. Rosa does have a few low kicks of her own before changing levels again and looking for the takedown. They end up in the clinch, and Rosa with a late trip. MMA Junkie gives the round to Rosa, 10-9.
Round 2 – Rosa walks forward and lands a sharp low kick and throws a few big punches behind it. Edwards looks to be caught a little off-guard. Rosa with a big left hand. Edwards looks a little stunned right now, but Rosa being patient in her work. She chops at the legs again. Edwards rattles off a flurry of punches that largely miss. Rosa kicks the legs and again fires up top, but this time Edwards battles back with a big flurry that lands clean with several strikes. Rosa doesn’t like that and immediately changes levels and drags the fight to the canvas once again. Half-guard for Edwards, and Rosa drives in a few elbows and forearms from the top. Edwards doing her best to swing back from the bottom, and Rosa is cut somewhere. Tough to see where with her face buried down, but she’s bleeding. Still, she’s controlling the positioning and lacing in hammerfists and elbows when she can. She finishes the round on top, and MMA Junkie gives it again to Rosa, 10-9.
Round 3 – Blood trickling out of Rosa’s mouth to start, but she spits it out and walks forward. Edwards comes out throwing bombs, but Rose simply ducks under the attacks and drives the action to the floor right away. Edwards able to sneak to guard, and she makes it tough for Rosa to get anything going offensively. Rosa backs away to the feet. Blood is pouring down her face from her mouth and nose. They trade punches, and Rosa is back into the clinch. Rosa looking for the trip, but Edwards able to stay upright after a brief stumble. Rosa just grinding away from the outside. Edwards stuck against the cage. She tries to slip free, but Rosa gets her off-balance and again gets the fight to the floor. One minute left, and Rosa is on top and landing short punches to the body. She’s looking to work past the guard. Rosa is looking for offense, trying to isolate the arm, but it’s not there. Rosa postures in the final seconds and rattles off punches to seal the result, standing up and yelling out at the final bell. MMA Junkie gives the final round to Rosa, 10-9, and awards her the fight 30-27.

Round 1 – Smith has an early high kick blocked. He’s holding the center and looking to press. Jaynes moving laterally on the outside. Smith with a crisp jab. Jaynes misses a lead hook and slips on a low kick but pops back up. Smith with two jabs that land clean. Jaynes with a sneaky right hand over the top that lands. Jaynes doing his best to leap in from outside and then slip away. Smith using long, straight jabs and flashing out a few kicks, as well. He’s patient in his work. Another jab catches Jaynes’ attention. Jaynes lands a counter right that briefly stuns his opponent. Smith answers with a nice low kick shortly after. Jaynes teases a takedown and misses a hook up top. Double jab for Smith with a right behind it. Less than a minute. Smith looks very confident right now but not rushing anything. Jaynes grabs a leg, looking for a takedown, and Smith makes him pay with a few big punches as he hops on one leg. Jaynes lets go and wings back. Smith throwing with real power to the bell. MMA Junkie gives the first to Smith, 10-9.
Round 2 – Jaynes leaps forward with a few big punches that miss but is able to get himself into a takedown attempt. Unfortunately for him, Smith defends it perfectly and then reverses the effort, throwing Jaynes to the canvas. Smith in side control. Jaynes’ left side against the cage, limiting some options. Jaynes gets his feet on the fence, but Smith pulls his body away. Smith controlling from the top. Jaynes sneaks in a few elbows to the body, but Smith is able to control and step over to mount. Jaynes covers and turns to his knees, giving up his back. Smith lands a few nice right hands and then looks for the choke. Jaynes pulls down the rear hand and survives. Smith rises, and Jaynes’ left eye is in pretty bad shape. Referee Keith Peterson calls time, and the doctor comes in. Jaynes wants to continue, but this one is called off.
