The event takes place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The card streams on ESPN+.
In the main event, In the main event, former welterweight title challenger Stephen Thompson (15-4-1 MMA, 10-4-1 UFC) takes on Geoff Neal (13-2 MMA, 5-0 UFC). In the co-feature, former featherweight champion Jose Aldo (28-7 MMA, 10-6 UFC) meets Marlon Vera (18-6-1 MMA, 10-5 UFC) in a bantamweight bout.

Christos Giagos vs. Carlton Minus
Round 1 – Minus with a low kick to start, and Giagos looks to counter over the top. Patience from both to start, but both are light on their feet and moving well. Giagos throws a right hand and dives into a takedown, getting the fight to the floor. Minus scrambles to stand and nearly gives up his back. He stands and turns inside, but Giagos changes levels again. Fight to the floor, and Minus briefly exposes the back. He again turns to get his back to the canvas, but Giagos is in full mount. Minus trying to turn and buck, but Giagos just rolls with him. When in mount, he strikes. On the back, he looks for the choke. Textbook work from the top. Minus trying to sit up and get free, but Giagos is just absolutely in complete control. Finally, Minus able to buck and slip out the back door and back to the feet with about 90 seconds left. Minus wants to strike, but Giagos buys his time and then shoots forward, and he’s immediately back to mount again. Sheer domination in the wrestling. Giagos works himself into an arm-triangle position, but time is winding down. Giagos lets it go and finishes on top. MMA Junkie give the first to Giagos, 10-8.
Round 2 – Minus looking to stay mobile and strike, but he’s not in a position to be aggressive. Giagos just waits for the right moment, changes levels and drives the action to the canvas. Giagos instantly looking to advance, as well. Minus not being given any opportunity to rest. He’s reacting well enough to keep himself alive in the fight, but there is no offense at all. Minus turns to his knees and just able to twist away from a choke. Kudos to Minus for a refusal to give up, but he is being absolutely mauled right now. Giagos smothering from the top. He seems to be close on a few arm-triangle opportunities, but he’s missing them. Minus scrambles to his feet, again with about 90 seconds left, but Giagos drives it right back to the floor and is looking for the choke. Once again, Minus not accepting that fate, but he is flat on his back again. Minus scrambles one more time and gets to his feet. He wants to strike, but he’s fatigued from the grind, and the time runs out. MMA Junkie gives it again to Giagos, 10-8.
Round 3 – Giagos breathing heavy between rounds after stepping in on short notice, but Minus is going to need something special. As the round starts, it’s clear Giagos is tired, and fairly so. Minus working hard to stay on his feet, but Giagos is relentless and is able to get the fight to the floor. This time, it looks like he’s much more focused on simply holding position. Minus scrambles again and gets to a seated position, but Giagos slips around to the back. Minus stands, and Giagos working hard to keep the bodylock tight. Halfway through the round, and Minus is able to create some separation and reset in the center. Minus firing some punches, and it’s clear Giagos is exhausted. He’s trying to slip and move and cruise to the clear decision. Minus trying to get something going. He’s pressing with 90 seconds left. Giagos focused on the incoming strikes and slipping the potential damage. Minus does land a nice left in the final minute. Right hand scores. Nothing too much, though. He’s tired, too. Giagos with an exhausted shot that comes up short. They trade at the bell. MMA Junkie gives the final round to Giagos, 10-9, and awards him the fight 30-25.

Cody Durden vs. Jimmy Flick
Round 1 – Durden fires a combination that backs his opponent to the fence, but he can’t keep it there. Flick moving away, and Durden attacks again and gets the fight to the floor quickly. Flick working his way to his knees and back to his feet. Durden still on his back as they stand. Flick defending well, and Durden has to let go and reset. Durden quick with his jab on the restart. Right hand looks sharp, as well. It lands again. Durden’s striking looks sharp early. Flick moving well and keeping his hands high, but you can see a bit of reddening on his face. Durden kicks the leg, as well. Pace is solid early. High kick for Flick, and he leaps in and jumps into a triangle. What a quick transition. Flying triangle locked in. Amazing turn. Squeeze is in, and Durden taps. Wow.

Tafon Nchukwi vs. Jamie Pickett
Round 1 – Nchukwi comes out with a few power shots up the middle, and Pickett has to cover and move. Nchukwi throws up a few high kicks, as well, which are blocked but still seem to get through just a bit. Nchukwi aggressive and powerful early. Pickett trying to stay active on the feet and get in and out of range. Nchukwi with a few punches that are blocked and then clinches and drives in a few knees. So far, Pickett blocking and avoiding very well, and he slips a punch and changes levels. He wraps the body and is able to drag Nchukwi to the canvas. Nchukwi seated against the cage and works back to his feet. Couple of knees inside, and Pickett has to back away to reset. Nchukwi again with the power punches and the high kicks behind them. Pickett handling them well, but he’s taking some damage. Pickett wants a trip, but it’s not there. Instead, Nchukwi muscles his opponent to the floor and tries to set up on top. Pickett able to scramble back to his feet and rest. One minute left. Nchukwi remains the aggressor. Pickett retreating and looking to counter. Late clinch, and the round ends. MMA Junkie gives it to Nchukwi, 10-9.
Round 2 – Nchukwi moving forward quickly to start the round. Pickett trying to stick and move, and Nchukwi is always moving forward. Nchukwi mixes in the high kick, sometimes to start the combo, sometimes to end. It’s not particularly fast, but it’s powerful and relentless. Pickett has the speed advantage, but he’s not getting a ton of opportunities to really utilize it. He’s punching but can’t slip away enough to keep space and really capitalize. Nchukwi just pushing forward and clinching and grinding. Into the final minute, and Pickett lands a combination of punches. Nchukwi is a little hurt. He backs up for the first time in the fight. Pickett doesn’t follow. They back up and reset. Clash of heads as they engage late. Referee Chris Tognoni doesn’t see it, but Pickett seems bothered. He scampers away until the bell. MMA Junkie gives it again to Nchukwi, 10-9.
Round 3 – Doctor comes in to take a look at Pickett, but we fight on. He does look bothered still though by that clash of heads at the end of the round. Pickett moving laterally and still seems to be resetting a bit. Big right hands exchanged. Nchukwi keeps moving forward and lands another big right. Pickett slips away. Nchukwi just cutting off the cage and continues to land big punches. None are threatening to end the fight, but with time they are adding up. High kick scores for Nchukwi. Pickett is wobbled. Nchukwi with a knee to the body, and Pickett hits the deck. He turtles up, but we carry on. Pickett trying to gather his wits. Nchukwi punching away with short shots, but he’s not landing clean. Pickett crawls back to his feet. One minute left. Nchukwi breathing hard, but he’s still walking forward. Pickett just not finding a ton of opportunities to really score. Fight ends on the feet. MMA Junkie gives the final round to Nchukwi, 10-9, and awards him the fight 30-27.

Gillian Robertson vs. Taila Santos
Round 1 – Robertson scores with a left hand as they look for range. Santos stumbles a bit and falls to the clinch. Robertson holds the neck briefly, but it’s not there. Robertson rolls the dice and drops for the arm. Santos defends well, and Robertson lets go to return to guard. From there, she quickly turns back again and looks for the arm, but again it’s defended. Santos now in top position, and she’s looking to strike. Robertson with an open guard and works up to get her back to the cage. Robertson active from the back, looking to turn her hips for submissions and also working in some short elbows. Robertson turns to her knees and tries to stand, but Santos able to push her back to the floor. Robertson turns for the arm at the bell, but it’s not there. When she stands, she’s cut on the bridge of her nose. MMA Junkie gives the first to Santos, 10-9.
Round 2 – Robertson out quickly, but it’s Santos that again gets the early takedown. Robertson again active underneath, and she rolls for the arm. She gets in position, but Santos clinches her arms together to defend and then puts the knee on the face. Robertson lets go. As she looks to transition, Santos rolls to an inverted triangle. Squeeze looks tight, and Robertson looks uncomfortable. Cut over her nose dripping, as well. But now Robertson able to slip out and take the top. Scramble for position, and Robertson is looking for submissions, but Santos is countering perfectly and keeping herself safe from the attacks. They scramble again, and Robertson is on her knees, and Santos tries to slip to the back. Robertson turns in, and Santos settles on top and into her opponent’s guard. Santos just grinding from the top. Head position driving in from the top, along with short punches. MMA Junkie gives it again to Santos, 10-9.
Round 3 – Robertson shoots in quickly to start, and she latches on to the guillotine. It’s not there, and she slips off and to the floor. Santos happy to again set up on top. Robertson still looking for submissions underneath, but Santos’ work has blood now trickling down her face, dangerously close to her eyes. Her head is trapped agains the fence, limiting some movement. Santos not doing a ton on top, but she’s certainly controlling the positioning. Referee Mark Smith asks her to work. Two minutes left. Robertson gets the leg high on the shoulder. Looks like maybe a triangle, but she goes to the arm. Santos rolls with it, and while it looks close for a moment, she works the arm free. After a brief scare, Santos moves to side control. Robertson turns to her knees and a seated position. She’s looking for something, but it’s Santos looking for the choke at the bell. MMA Junkie gives the round to Santos, 10-9, and awards her the fight 30-27.

Antonio Arroyo vs. Deron Winn
Round 1 – Big low kick from Arroyo checked. Size difference between the two is incredible. Winn wisely shoots forward and is able to power Arroyo to the floor. He briefly controls, but Arroyo is able to slip free and stand. As the engage, he tries to drive in a knee but comes up just short, and Winn capitalizes with a takedown. Once again, Winn can’t quite keep it there. Still, Winn is quick on the restart to drive forward and score a takedown. Arroyo works quickly to a seated position against the cage. He doesn’t seem concerned with his opponent, but Winn keeps scoring these takedowns. Arroyo turns to get his legs high. Triangle there, but Winn able to slip free. Back on the feet, Arroyo starts landing his hands go. He’s scoring, too. Winn shoots, and he can’t quite get the takedown. More strikes from Arroyo. One last takedown at the bell, but he’s doing so little with the position. MMA Junkie gives it to Arroyo, 10-9.
Round 2 – Arroyo with a quick jab. Turning kick for Arroyo, and Winn happily drives forward and lands the takedown. Again, Arroyo able to scramble back to his feet. On the feet, Arroyo is able to do damage from range with his massive reach advantage. The smaller Winn is able to get takedowns, but he’s doing so very little once the position is on the floor. Arroyo crawls back to his feet once again. Arroyo does seem to be fading. The repeated takedowns are taking their toll. But Winn needs to do something with the positions. Another takedown. This time, Winn does settle on top. Arroyo actually closes the guard. He works rubber guard a bit underneath. Winn ends the round on top, and MMA Junkie gives it to him, 10-9.
Round 3 – Winn just drives immediately forward and scores a takedown. Winn looks to posture and strike. Arroyo turns to attack the leg and uses it to create a scramble and get back to his feet. Winn immediately back in on the takedown and is able to fall into his opponent’s guard. Arroyo is just exhausted, and he’s running out of time. He gets back to his feet again. Less than two minutes. Arroyo on the outside, but he gets nothing going on the feet. Another takedown from Winn. Arroyo gets up with ease, but Winn just shoves him over again. Two tired athletes, but Arroyo has nothing at all in the tank. Winn backs away and lets Arroyo rise in the end, just missing a kick as he rises. Fight ends on the feet. Uninspiring overall, but MMA Junkie gives the final round to Winn, 10-9, and awards him the fight 29-28.

Sijara Eubanks vs. Pannie Kianzad
Round 1 – Quick punches exchanged by both to open, but Eubanks changes levels and slips underneath for a takedown with relative ease. Kianzad quick to try and crawl to her feet, using the fence to rise. Eubanks grabs hold and just powers her out to the center of the cage. Kianzad scrambles to half-guard, but Eubanks holding tight of the head and controlling. Kianzad framing well underneath to create space, but Eubanks pressing back down and maintaining top position. Kianzad keeps turning for the arm, and she’s getting a decent looks at it. Eubanks seems comfortable, but there are definitely some concerns here in this efforts. Still, she keeps pushing past the legs and keeping the dominant spot. Eubanks looks to step over to the mount, and Kianzad turns to give the back. Eubanks finishes there, and MMA Junkie gives her the round, 10-9.
Round 2 – They engage quickly again and move to the clinch. Both battle in the position, but Kianzad is able to stay upright. They’re exchanging strikes in the clinch and on the feet. Kianzad is able to press the action to the fence. She’s having some success on the clinch and in tight. But Eubanks then finally able to change levels and drive the action to the floor. Kianzad again looking at those armbar attempts. Not there, but she does create room to scramble to her knees. She drives back to the feet, as well, but Eubanks never leaves her space. Eubanks shoots again for the takedown. Not there. Kianzad drives in elbows as she defends. MMA Junkie gives Kianzad the round, 10-9.
Round 3 – Eubanks looking to grapple again, but Kianzad is ready for it. Knees and elbows inside. Eubanks is struggling here in the clinch. She wants the takedown, but Kianzad is ready for it. She looks fresher, and she looks stronger in the position. Eubanks separates and looks to strike. Kianzad moving well, but Eubanks lands a nice right hand. They clinch briefly, but Eubanks pulls away. She seems ready to strike to try and regain momentum. But Kianzad looks fresher, and she’s moving well. She’s firing in combinations and scoring. Eubanks swinging back, and she’s busted up her opponent’s nose a bit. Eubanks continues to land the heavier shots, and she’s walking forward, but Kianzad with great volume, as well. Close, close round. MMA Junkie leans very slightly toward Eubanks, 10-9, awarding her the fight 29-28. Could really go either way.

Alex Morono vs. Anthony Pettis
Round 1 – Morono out quickly, and Pettis slips on a leaping kick. Morono jumps on top and looks to attack. Pettis spins, and Morono is on the back and he’s looking for punches and elbows. Pettis controlling the hands as he looks to get up. Early work has drawn some blood, looking to be coming from the nose. Morono has the bodylock on the back. He’s looking for the choke, but Pettis is defending well and preventing that choke from coming in. The patience pays off, and Pettis is able to turn inside and take top position. Morono counters by looking for the triangle, and Pettis has to back away, and the reset on the feet. Both men moving well on the feet. Pettis with much more success here. He slips again on a high knee, but this time Pettis gets back to his feet. Morono inside again. Scramble to the floor. Great stuff. MMA Junkie gives the first to Morono, 10-9.
Round 2 – Morono takes the center and presses forward. Pettis moving well on the outside, but Morono keeping the pressure high and not giving any space to work. Pettis with a nice right to the body. Left hand landed up top. Pettis keeping his activity high, even if it’s on the back foot. He’s sticking and moving. Morono chasing, but he looks to be slowing a bit. He’s the one that appears the aggressor, but Pettis is the one finding a home for the jab, as well as the straight behind it. He’s timing Morono’s advances. Left hand pushes Morono to the floor, though he pops right back up. Spinning strikes from both to close. MMA Junkie gives it to Pettis, 10-9.
Round 3 – Pettis again looking to retreat and counter, and it works to start. High kick scores. Morono looks to bring the fight to the floor, but it’s an alert scramble from Pettis, and he’s able to reverse the action and settle in top position. Morono has to take guard. Pettis postures and is looking to advance past the guard. Morono working well on the floor and maintaining guard, but it’s Pettis who is the one dominating positioning and looking to advance. Morono works to a seated position and then crawls up to his feet. Pettis not giving him any room to work. Finally he creates some space in the final minute, but it’s a spinning wheel kick for Pettis that catches the top of the head. He’s hurt. Pettis tries to move froward and finish with punches and then grabs a guillotine. Can’t get it, but he surely sealed it at the end. MMA Junkie gives the final round to Pettis, 10-9, and awards him the fight 29-28.

Round 1 – Hardy paws a few jabs and misses on a couple of low kicks. Tybura briefly clinches, but Hardy able to pull away. Low kick from Hardy. Tybura looking to counter over the top. Punches exchanged. Hardy lands a nice right. He’s looking to pump the jab, as well. Tybura switching stances and moving well. Tybura’s face showing a little wear. He lands to the body and a big left up top, as well. Tybura stunned, but he’s still upright. Tybura the one walking forward, but Hardy countering well. Jab lands. Big right lands. Tybura ducks for a leg. Hardy defends it well and makes his opponent pay. Several big right hands land clean. He’s bleeding from the nose. Hardy is patient, but he’s capitalized well late. Round ends on the feet, and it’s Hardy, 10-9.
Round 2 – Hardy on the attack to start, digging to the body and then looking up top. Tybura rushes forward for a takedown, but Hardy slips it. Tybura the one advancing, but he seems content to counter, and that’s proving tough. He does land a nice left hand. They trade punches. Tybura trying to turn up the heat a little. He does think takedown again, but it’s not there. Tybura leaps with the left. Two minutes left. Tybura gets inside on a single. Tybura able to lock the hands behind Hardy and drag him to the floor. Hardy on his hips and trying to create a way to get free, but he gets Hardy flat to the floor. One he’s there, he starts punching away. Hardy covers, and perhaps he’s exhausted? He’s covering, but he’s not moving. Tybura keeps punching, and he sees a chance to finish. The punches continue, and this fight is over.

Rob Font vs. Marlon Moraes
Round 1 – Early kicks from Moraes countered by big punches from Font. Moraes ducks under and gets a quick takedown. Font scrambles, and Moraes tries to latch on to a guillotine. Not quite in guard for Font, so he’s able to pull free and look to reverse position. He creates a scramble, and Moraes counters once again with a beautiful takedown. Font forced to settle on his back in half-guard. Moraes postures up and punches as he continues to look to advance. They’re near the fence, and Moraes gets briefly to side control. Font scrambles back up, and they start swinging. Both land. Font stunned briefly. He swings back and Moraes is hurt. He falls tot eh canvas, and this could be done. Moraes valiantly trying to recover, but he’s not actually defending himself. He’s just taking shots. Font sees the chance to finish. Punches are landing. Moraes trying to gather his wits, but Font is relentless, and this is done. Wow. Big win for Font.

Michel Pereira vs. Khaos Williams
Round 1 – Williams with an early low kick. Pereira bouncing in and out of range, switching stances. He throws a right over the top and a front kick up the middle. Pereira looking for angles, while Williams is a more patient fighter right now. Low kick from Williams again. He block a Pereira high kick. Pereira misses a front kick. He’s staying at distance to start, out of range of Williams’s power. Williams catches a kick and lands two powerful punches. Williams staying patient in the center, but he catches another front kick and scores the big right. Pereira continues to lead with the kicks, and he slips a knee in behind it. Final seconds tick off to close a tense round. MMA Junkie leans toward Williams, 10-9.
Round 2 – Williams again works to the center. Pereira staying light on his feet and looking to stay at range where only he can land. He delivers a big right hand. Williams answers by rushing forward a bit and punching into a clinch. Nothing there, and they back away. Williams again with the low kick. He continues to invest in the legs. He’s struggling to figure out when to attack, but he is quick enough to score when Pereira moves inside. Williams with a few digs to the body. Pereira kicks to the body. Two punches land for Williams as he drives the cation to the fence. They clinch there. Once they pull away, Pereira lands a few solid punches and latches on to a rear-naked choke in the final seconds. He drags the fight to the floor at the bell and can’t quite get the squeeze. Nice finish from Pereira, but MMA Junkie leans again toward Williams, 10-9.
Round 3 – Could be tied based on that round 2 finish. Pereira trying to pick up the volume to start. Williams continues kicking to the legs. Pereira building on the acrobatic attacks, but he has yet to really land clean. They get in tight and exchange blows. Not as much offense as was expected from this matchup. Pereira’s gas tank has held up, but he’s not letting it go very often. Less than two minutes left, and Pereira able to get inside and drag the action to the canvas. He can’t keep it there. Final minute. They’re picking up the pace. Kick lands for Pereira. He dives in for another takedown, and he finishes on top. Great finish for him there. MMA Junkie gives the final round to Pereira, 10-9, but awards the fight to Williams, 29-28, Could easily go the other way. Will be interesting.

Round 1 – Vera with a few probing kicks to start. Aldo in the center with his hands high. Vera chops the legs a little. Aldo answers. Aldo with a few quick punches up top, as well. Vera rushes forward and wraps the body, looking for the takedown. The action goes to the fence. Aldo defends there, showing solid takedown defense, as always. Vera tries to hold it there, but Aldo able to circles off and reset. Vera continues to work the legs, but Aldo answers with a big left to the body. He scores another one, as well. Vicious. Aldo continues to hold the center and attack the body. The low kick is working, as well. Vera tries to press the action into the clinch again, but it’s not there. Aldo to the body again and he tags the legs. Round ends on the feet, and MMA Junkie gives it to Aldo, 10-9.
