UFC on ESPN+ 21 takes place Saturday, and you can join us for live play-by-play and official results beginning at 11 a.m. ET (8 a.m. PT).

The event takes place at CSKA Arena in Moscow. The card streams on ESPN+.

In the main event, Zabit Magomedsharipov (17-1 MMA, 5-0 UFC) takes on Calvin Kattar (20-3 MMA, 4-1 UFC) in a bout rescheduled from earlier this fall at UFC Boston. In the co-feature, Greg Hardy (5-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) steps up on short notice to take on former Bellator heavyweight champion Alexander Volkov (30-7 MMA, 4-1 UFC). Volkov was set to fight Junior Dos Santos in the main event before Dos Santos fell off the card.

Current fight

Roosevelt Roberts vs. Alexander Yakovlev

Round 1 – Both fighters are long and they’re showing it. Both are staying on the outside, landing leg kicks early. Roberts lands a right hand. Yakovalev points to the ceiling, signaling to the referee. Yakovalev is saying he was poked in the eye. Referee Leon Roberts tells them to fight on. Roberts lands a hard right. Roberts is putting a tremendous amount of pressure on Yakovlev, who is largely on the retreat. Roberts lands another hard right. Yakovlev appears to stumble, but he may have just been off balance. Yakovlev now pressing Roberts against the fence. Roberts reverses and breaks the clinch. Roberts lands a hard leg kick and clinches Yakovlev against the fence. 10-9 Roberts.

Davey Grant vs. Grigorii Popov

Round 1 – Grant utilizing his kicks early, but he lands low on the cup. After a brief timeout, the fight resumes. A stepping side kick lands to the body of Popov. Grant throwing haymakers. Popov throws a kick and Grant catches it. Grant drags the fight to the ground and lands in Popov’s guard. Popov trying to climb his legs up looking for a submission. Popov pushes Grant away and scrambles to his feet. Grant is still holding on though, and drags Popov to the ground against the cage. After ground-and-pound attempts from Grant, Popov reverses and lands on top of Grant. Popov throws hard elbows, but I’m not sure if they were blocked or landed flush. They hit something. The two fighters break and square off in the center of the cage before the bell rings. 10-9 Grant.

Round 2 – Grant throws a flying knee early in round 2. He’s really loading up on every shot he throws. Popov has been targeting the lead leg of Grant in this round. Ouch. Grant lands another low blow on Popov. They both were throwing kicks and the knee of Grant hit the groin of Popov. After a brief timeout, the fight resumes. Grant lands a hard overhand right on Popov – the best strike of the fight on either side. With Popov on his back foot, Grant shoots for a takedown. Popov defends with a whizzer and the two tumble to the ground. Grant slips around to the back of Popov, who rises to his feet against the cage. Popov’s efforts were for not. Grant drags him to the ground again. Now Popov has grabbed a hold of Grant’s arm in a kimura attempt. Popov rolls to an armbar and is in good position with 1:15 left in the round. But Grant escapes by rolling on top of Popov. Grant moves to side control and Popov tries to roll out of it. Grant briefly grabs the back before landing in half guard. The round ends with Grant on top. 20-18 Grant.

Round 3 – Both fighters engage in respectful chatter as the final round starts. Thirty seconds into the round, Grant kicks Popov in the groin. He’s okay and the fight resumes. Grant winding up for a haymaker overhand. Grant shoots for a takedown and Popov counters with a hard knee to the chest. Popov lands a couple of hard elbows on Grant as he strains for a takedown against the cage. Popov hits the mat and attempts to grab a heel hook. Grant spins out and the two fighters take the center of the cage. Grant attempts another double leg against the fence – and he gets it. Popov rises up again and the two separate. Popov lands a right hand. Both fighters land a simultaneous jab. Grant looks exhausted. Popov is chasing Grant, but the Englishman evades his strike attempts. Popov whiffs on a pair of haymakers as the buzzer sounds. 30-27 Grant.

Jessica-Rose Clark vs. Pannie Kianzad

Round 1 – This is the second time these two have faced off and you can tell. The two fighters agree they won’t be touching gloves. They clinch and separate. Clark lands a right hand, which appears to be her strike of choice early. Kianzad lands a left inside leg kick, followed by a left hook. Clark lands a straight counter right. A one-two combo from Clark lands. Shortly thereafter, Clark clinches Kianzad against the cage. Kianzad breaks and attempts a high kick, which whiffs. Clark lands a right outside leg kick followed by an overhand right. Kianzad’s jab landing at a high rate. Clark has a small mouse below her left eye. Kianzad lands a right hand. Clark answers with a body kick. 10-9 Kianzad.

Round 2 – Kianzad landing early. She’s switching up her strikes – targeting the head, body, and legs. Kianzad lands a hard leg kick followed by a cracking right hand which appears to briefly stun Clark. The two clinch against the cage and then separate. They exchange hard leg kicks. Clark lands a weak spinning elbow after whiffing on a right hand. Kianzad cracks Clark with a left jab, straight right combination. Clark lands a loud right elbow to the skull of Kianzad. Moments later, Kianzad lands it again. Now, Kianzad has swelling around her left right. Kianzad counters a leg kick attempt from Clark with an overhand. Outside of the right hand, Clark hasn’t found much success in any of her strikes. Kianzad looks a step ahead in the striking department. Kianzad lands a two-three combination. 20-18 Kianzad.

Round 3 – Clark lands an elbow. She presumably needs to get a finish here if she wants to win. A slick combination by Kianzad lands. Sweden’s Kianzad attempts an outside leg sweep, but Clark defends. Kianzad pushing Clark against the fence. They break and circle back to the center. Kianzad lands a left hand followed by an outside leg kick. Kianzad is really coming into her own here. She lands back-to-back combination on Clark, who wipes her face and moves forward. Kianzad punches the body, then head, of Clark. Nice combination. Clark attempts a head kick, but it’s blocked. Clark lands a kick to the lead leg of Kianzad. The two fighters land jabs. Clark lands a knee to the body. Kianzad lands a left hook. The final buzzer sounds. I don’t think this fight will win “Fight of the Night,” but a nice tactical performance by Kianzad nonetheless. MMA Junkie scores it 30-27 Kianzad.
