The UFC’s 10th pay-per-view of the year takes place Saturday with UFC 243, and the promotion’s popular “Embedded” series returns to get you ready.
UFC 243 takes place at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, Australia. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and UFC Fight Pass/ESPN+.
In the main event, Robert Whittaker (20-4 MMA, 11-2 UFC) is set to return from the longest layoff of his MMA career to put his middleweight title on the line against Israel Adesanya (17-0 MMA, 6-0 UFC), who comes in as interim champion in attempt to unify the gold. In the co-main event, lightweight strikers Al Iaquinta (14-5-1 MMA, 9-4 UFC) and Dan Hooker (18-8 MMA, 8-4 UFC) go toe-to-toe.
The sixth episode of “UFC 243 Embedded” features the four fighters. Here’s the UFC’s description:
On Episode 6 of UFC 243 Embedded, lightweight Al Iaquinta and middleweight champion Robert Whittaker suit up for Ultimate Media Day. Their respective opponents, Dan Hooker and interim middleweight champion Israel Adesanya, also attend, as do heavyweight foes Tai Tuivasa and Serghei Spivac. After matchup staredowns in front of cameras, Saturday morning brings the weigh-in at Marvel Stadium, where they repeat the process in front of fans. UFC 243 Embedded is an all-access, behind-the-scenes video blog leading up to the middleweight title unification bout taking place Saturday, October 5th.
