Take a look inside the fight with Tsarukyan, who was the second biggest favorite on the card at -750.

Tsarukyan on the fight’s key moment

“It was really hard because my camp was for a southpaw. All the time I did sparring with southpaws and sometimes people stayed orthodox and I said, ‘Bro, no. I have to face a southpaw. Please switch your stance.’ But that’s OK. My coach said I just had to spar and not think about the technical part, because I didn’t have a camp for this guy. I did what I know for orthodox. My wrestling helped me and I’m happy.”

Tsarukyan on getting a new opponent Friday

“I wanted to choke (original opponent) Nasrat (Haqparast). I did a lot of jiu-jitsu because Nasrat doesn’t know good jiu-jitsu. I did a lot of grappling. I wanted to choke him, but (Frevola), he has a very good Brazilian jiu-jitsu. He’s a brown belt – he’s not easy. I tried sometimes, but he has good defense. It was very hard, but my freestyle wrestling is better and so was my control, my striking, and I can do everything.”

Tsarukyan on what he wants next

“For sure I want to fight against a top 15 (opponent) because I’m ready. I have four fights in the UFC – one fight was against Islam (Makhachev), and I won the other two. I think I’m ready for the top 15. I’m young, I’m hungry. I want to fight in three months. I’m ready – let’s go. Top 15: I’m waiting.

“I want to fight with (Al) Iaquinta because he doesn’t have a fight. All guys in the top 15 have fights except him. If he doesn’t want to fight, then get out of the top 15. I want to take his place.”
